What are segway tracks and how do I use them?

Is this the same guy that you are talking about in the other thread where you ask if it is cheating or someone else?

Also, transition tracks are not cheating but they are generally boring and will create a boring sound tbh.  I would only even think of using something like that if I had 2 songs that really would not work together but simply needed to be played next to each other….rare.  Maybe even non existent, depending on what you play.

Brandon – there is no cheating – we are playing tracks, it isn’t a competition, but just like when you look at bands you can make an opinion on whether they are talented, lame or just there because they look good.

If he is playing remixes with what you are describing as transition tracks – there is nothing  wrong with that if he is making them sound good.  I am not sure what you mean by mash-up…not really sure what anyone means by it tbh!!

Someone else will be better placed to answer your bonus question because that is not something I do.

I did it this all the time, especially with really popular tunes, it then became my signature, I usually mix and mash up with a trap remix of the particular tunes, usually during the breaksdown of the original remix, i replaced it with the trap remix, or sometimes after the breaksdown of the orginal remix, i replace it with the trap version,for example the “Clarity” remix by Tiesto,  after the second breaks, ya know the chanting one, the “Hey-ay, hey-ay-ay….”, then after the “why are you my clarity?”,  I replaced it with the trap version of it, I got a LOT of good feedbacks not only from the crowds but a fellow DJ’s also

If you are not innovative you could do that or just use a triple count loop that you half down during the trasition with an echo F/X that follows the beat on the incoming (which will double up that beat), then blend and you have a transition that nobody knows and people will call you a DJ king for it.

I find transition tracks boring and they water down the art of transitioning between problematic tracks. While some may use this shortcut to great success I just love to be more innovative and find new transitions.
