Nah, he’s a wedding DJ, We do that kind of stuff. As long as you don’t wear them all night, no biggy LOL.
Now he MIGHT want to get a helmet, of course.
The #1 thing that will chance your presentation in a heartbeat would be to no longer be dependent on a venue table to set up your gear (and at the same time getting it to a better working height) is to buy something like this:

Might wanna look around, in our part of Europe you could get the ProDJUser version of it (cheaper than the one in the link) and in the US I believe Odyssey has them (also cheaper).
These things set up in literally 30 seconds, are very sturdy and can handle the rigors of the road (mine’s been in use for 3 years or so and I know Terry has one too). The extra shelf provides extra space to stack stuff. I have made it so I can attach a 60cm by 60cm RGB LED (ceiling) panel on the front which I can operate with a small remote control. I usually have it set to slow chase/fade or permanent color. But even without it, your setup looks a lot more professional than sitting on what is clearly a table you didn’t bring yourself.
Just my two cents.
Obviously you could look at one of these:

or one of it’s bigger brothers.
This will however cost you quite a bit more. I’ve looked at them at the show in Frankfurt earlier this year and they are very nice. Als set up in under a few minutes. With the right decals/logos and backlighting they look totally awesome. Just included this to show what’s possible.
