Been in one of those expo before,

Need to consider the maximum benefits, is it worth it that much ?
The one i took it its because they offered it so cheap, so ya know why not
In your case thats some serious dolla !, and you need to put that 2×3 booth to the maximum potential, dont forget to bring your banner, make a lot of copies of flyers, and hire 2-3 one of them Sales Person Girls to get them walk around and hand the flyers, make a few of shirts with your logo and give them away,

Personally tough, 2300 dolla its way too much for 2×3 expo, and only 20,000 people going to be in it ? eh I personally skipped it, there other promotional marketing that you can spend on with 2300 that worth it more

Personally I think building your brand online would be the best way to go.

You’d be better off doing it online as $2300au is expensive and most people who go to the wedding expo are really look at designers, paper supplies, flowers and cakes. Entertainment tends to be easier to find online for weddings
You could spend a lot less online

wow what a rip-off – Our Expos are about $500-$600 (Cairns, Far North Queensland) for a booth here where I am (population 150,000)

After now clocking up 17 years in the Wedding Industry basically in a nut shell they are great for PR (Public Relations) as people can see you stuff live, meet and talk to you in person.
However over the last 2 years I have stopped doing them as they have become a little stressful in the sense of when you set-up and pack-down trying not to get in the way of the 100 or so other suppliers of various services who think that they are all the No.1 supplier around and who have there fake smiles. Some are good though.

As you know for an impressive display you wanna bring out your big guns and that means more gear to bring & setup and pack down. In my case I have to drive 1hr to get there, take 2-3 hrs to setup if access to venue is good, spend 5 hrs at my booth smiling and looking motivated then another 1-2hrs to pack-down, then another 1hr drive home.
mmmmmm good fun – all of this and we have already lost $500-$600 for the entry.

Having said that all it takes is someone to book me on the day and that has paid the fee to enter a booth and that normally happens every-time which is great.

I have also found that alot of people who come and see you have already booked you or if you have no free days left during your wedding season then you say sorry but I am booked out.

    That’s my 2 cents.

Thanks for input guys. I live in perth and it can be quite expensive to do anything here. As I have already paid for the booth I’m going to see how this one goes, then I will take it from there. I need 3 – 4 gigs to recoup the money I have spent, with 20000 people walking g through the door, I should get that back plus more. As DJ Postie has mentioned your competing with all the other exhibitors packing in/out and during. So fingers crossed.

I wish you all the best DJ Mixing and hope you get lotsa bookings.

Expos can also be fun if you have good neighbouring booths.

Let me know if I can help you in any other advise on Weddings.
