    More RAM might fix this…

Yea, I had just mentioned the exact same issue in another thread. Every time I tried to select a different effect, VDJ would seize up.

I recently started running VDJ under a different user account, one where I only run VDJ and that program only, as opposed to multiple programs in the background. It’s been fine so far. Though I don’t know if this applies as you’re using a MBP.

If wifi and bluetooth are on and there’s nothing to connect to the MBP seems to pull lots of resources while searching. Check that those are turned off and that Time Machine is off if you use that.

Funny because someone quickly asserted it was my PC

Let me know if you get this working properly.

Yeah I had wifi and bluetooth off. I hear putting ram, or anything for that matter, in a mac (let alone a macbook) is a huge pain… Hope I don’t have to do that. I decided it might be a background program I kinda forgot about. Bumptop. So guess I’ll try quitting that from now on and see how things go.

One thing with VDJ is don’t get too excited about activating every effect you have, especially if you have added the VST plugins all over the net. VDJ comfortably handles them well, but if you try chaining (applying multiple effects at the same time) it chickens out and may freeze till you quit and relaunch it.

I replaced my MBP hard drive. Was quite straightforward. Ram is supposed to be even easier.
