The LE version of Virtual Dj is limited in the possibilities of this program. Ill sure recommend you to upgrade to Virtual Dj Pro 7 Full. (i’ve never regret this) You pay this amount only once, all futher updates are free. (different to other software manufactorers)
So the next upgrade to VDJ 8 in the future will be free for all the people who bought this licence.

Here on this forum there is an article about this subject, check this out :

upgrading the software to pro is absolutley the most cost effective upgrade to your dj set up… with pro you can ditch the pathetic native effects and download new amazing quality ones… you unlock the sampler, full screen video, you can run multiple controlers or upgrade the ergo but keep the software… you also get access to skins so you can change the way you interface with the software (I’m making one at the moment that will be pretty special in terms of features)

VDJ8 is coming soon which should be a major improvement over VDJ7 which imo is better than any other if you like customization…

VDJ 8 looks very promising. If you’re using a Ergo then I’m guessing you’re probably not requiring the additional features that Traktor offers. I think it will give the other “pro” software brands a bit of a run for their money. In terms of value you really can’t beat it. The video integration is something you can’t get with the other brands (non-existant in Traktor) without paying extra for it too. Until you really delve deep in to the world of custom midid mapping VDJ will probably serve you well.

And there is no BEST software. There is the software that you feel most comfortable with and if that is VDJ, then by all means go Pro.
