    That hugely depends on what you intend to do and how your workflow is. Both get the job done and VDJ is better at customising the whole thing and video effects. Both are stable platforms for video.
    If you already have VDJ Pro, I would suggest trying to go with it and then decide if it lacks anything and if Serato would be able to help you there.

    Spend the money on the best videocard you can afford. Then in VDJ Pro you can use freeframe effects from Video editing and VJ software in all their glory. There is a large online community of developers for free and paid freeframe effects of which you can use in VDJ Pro.

    The one thing Serato has over VDJ is the transitions are generally better, but their is an SDK available to make your own if you know any programming languages.

    Yeah I just started messing with video. I like vdj pro but really prefer the itch workflow. But I think for now will stick with vdj pro and look into a video card. So far I am happy but like many of us need to peek over the fence to see if the grass is greener. Thanks guys!
