    Well you still have to count and know where the one is or you wont match the next song… so consistent counting is important no matter where you loop.

    Right!, so lets say I start my loop on the 5th bar of a 8 bar phrase and I loop for 8 beats, when I turn off the loop it will go back to the start of the 5th bar, so do I match it to the 5th bar of the out going track?

    A 5 would be a 1 and a 5 in a 4/4, so unless the phrase match is important you can match it to the 1 or 5 in a 8 loop of the second song as long as the 4/4 is maintained. You can of course set it up again on the 5 if the phrasing is important. (I hope that sentence made sense…)

    Yes, basically you are saying, if I start my loop on the 5 treat that as the 1 or if the phrasing is important than stop the loop on the out going 5. Thank you for your help. This is what I have been doing. I wanted to be sure that I was correct. Terry, thank you for your help. As always.

    To be sure that I am correct, in a 4/4 I can treat the 5 bar as the 1 bar?

    So the 5 is basically a one is what hes saying but if you start on a 2,3,4,6,7 idk the answer but i think that was youre question like should that be treated as a 1(5)

    yup, the 5 is half of the one, well at least in top 40 hiphop now a days. btw, ive gotten real lazy about my reg gigs all i do is loop in another track. but, just like sync, if you cant find the one your fu*ked.
