I did a google search and march is the end of their winter so fingers crossed its here before June, want to get this up and running so I can mix and record!

Update – Numark has got back to me but sadly can’t shed any light on this, We are waiting for Serato to announce something I emailed them yesterday so its just a waiting game now for their response.

BIG UPDATE – Serato have anounced it will be supporting the N4 in the summer, and I have now got the option to trade my N4 in for either a mc3000 or a TM2/4.. I think the TM2 will be a better option as it has an aux input so can still get a cdj off it (is this correct) and its Serato ready so my software I have purchased will work straight away! TM4 is more expensive and I can’t justify wanting 4 channels for a long while.. The MC3000 is another option and it uses VDJ and traktor so a chance to try traktor or go back to VDJ.. What does anyone think?

I need a last minute bit of advice. I haven’t as of yet ordered the denon mc3000 which is my current best choice option but before I take the plunge is there anything else in the traktor controller line a bit better for a bit more? I paid almost £300 for the n4 I have traded it back in so maybe £100-£150 on top is the most I will spend so what could I get with that? Traktor controllers of course but if they work with other softwares that would be a huge bonus!

S2, or maybe check out the CMD controllers coming out soon.

Cheers I’ve checked the s2 out its lacking on the build quality side of things, of which the denon seems better for me but tbh I may just get the denon, master traktor and then maybe add a maschine or x1/f1 to the setup.. Except the s2 is there anything else in the £400 budget?

Well if you go Traktor rather than Serato then maybe the Reloop Jockey 3 Remix.
It has some wicked good mappings to get you started… and built quality with Reloop controllers is really good.

I saw it but the reloop jockey 3 remix is relatively new so its a bomb, almost £500 in places. I will look around in more places though as it does look a beast!

I think the mc3k is my preferred choice and maybe an f1/x1 or maschine added to the setup in the near future!

if the jockey remix is out of your budget, you could look at its previous incarnation the jockey 3 me (master edition). same build quality but without the cool fx mapping. under £450 new in the uk or maybe you could find one used for cheaper.

I (briefly) had the Jockey 3 ME and it was really solid build and a nice feel to it. I got rid of it cos I was sick of messing around trying to update the firmware which didn’t seem to be playing ball.

If you don’t need jog wheels, a couple of X1’s or Xone K2’s are also a choice. Reloop Contour as well if you want a jog wheel.
