The Terminal Mix 2/4 are great solutions and have great build, You defiantly want a controller that can take in aux input or one that can even be a standalone mixer if need be bc you never know when your computer may bug out on you. The Numark N4 is also a decent choice as I have one myself.

If you want to go more professional I would get the TM2/4 with Serato DJ package.

Thanks for the advice guys, so you wouldn’t say the Mix track pro 2 then? It does has aux inputs and mic and headphone inputs.. not as complex as say the terminal mix 2 or 4 but should do me for a while still confused.. I like the terminal mix but seeing as I haven’t even gigged yet I don’t know. Also Don’t want to gig with the Hercules as this is so basic, Just got it to learn on..

the terminal mix controllers are awesome. you will get a lot more for your money.if you buy the mixtrack 2,in 6 or 8 months you will be possibly looking for a new controller.also the build quality and sound quality is superior.the weego is just a toy this is what i see for the controllers you mentioned
    Extra learning-still basic:Mixtrack Pro 2,Weego
Club feel:Ergo V(the limited version is better though)
Pro mobile djing equipment:Terminal Mix 2/4
all if you want to gig take notice about the construction. accidents happen, drinks are spilled, people get drunk

If i was you personally. I would try and pick up an old Mixtrack Pro 1 for a good price, and really learn on that. You should be able to sell it on for a similar price to what you picked it up for. You can then try out serato, VDJ and Traktor.

If you like Traktor. S2 is lovely and what I gig on (Although doesnt have standalone function)

    If you like serato. TM4

    VDJ (I have no idea)

Dennons are also nice. And the higher range Numarks. Check out the DDJT Controller guide. Really is helpful.

Thanks guys, I don’t fancy buying a mixtrack and learning on it as I want to make a bold step up, learn it well then hit the bars and pubs for gigs you see, I cant really develop my skills and move on with my Hercules E2 as its only decent for small house parties..

I was going to say should I look at the Denon’s for around £300 the Mc400 is in my price range I believe also any other controllers you guys can suggest, but so far Mixtrack pro 2 is not my preferred choice its now the Terminal
    Mix 2!

    Any other suggestions?

What software would you like to use? Stick with vdj? Or try out serato or traktor?

I’m a fan of VDJ up till now as its been my only option with the controller I have, I’m a big believer in trying out new things but Traktor looks to complicated for myself and would take longer than say Serato to learn. So my software preferences lie with a controller that I can play around with both VDJ and Serato so far the Terminal Mix 2 is the best option, The Denon mc2000/3000 does lie with this software too but I dont know if its a better controller for me, will do some reviews.

What about the American Audio VMS4.1 bit less money and does seem to have a lot of options.. What I need is a load of controllers to do reviews on aha!

Terminal Mix 2 over the Mixtrack any day. With the full version of Serato DJ its £439 (or £350 just with Intro).
The plus side of getting a Serato controller like the TM is that you can also map it to both VDJ and Traktor so you can try out all 3 softwares

i recommend you the tm4. a four channel setup is going to please you for years.if you go the the 2 channel route you will become really good in beatmatching, effects use and transitions but you will want to start using acapellas and doing live mashups so 4 channels is ideal.the 4 deck vdj version is cheaper and the mapping is really good, also you have the opportunity to upgrade.it is however 100 euros(don’t know about the uk) more expensive

Ahh I started on that Hercules 12 months ago! It’s so tiny and plasticy. Great to start on though, rocked a few house parties with it 🙂 I never really liked Virtual DJ LE, I used Mixxx a fair bit instead.
Anyway, I recently upgraded and took the slightly alternative choice (no jog wheels!) of the Novation Twitch. Pushing your budget @ £300, but so far (2 weeks only!) I’m happy with my choice. Great build quality, good sound quality, and at the moment I’m starting to get used to the Itch software (but will get a free upgrade to Serato DJ I think any day now). I’ve mapped it to Ableton in a breeze, and it really works great with that too because of the layout of the pads. Not tried with Traktor, but I know it supports four-deck mode if that’s your bag.
But no jog wheels, so no scratching – not a big deal for me, most of what I want to do in the future is focussed around loops, mashups etc… but that could be a deal breaker for some I’m sure.
Looking forward to starting gigging on it in the near future 🙂

Thanks again guys this community is awesome at advice, Okay slight problem with my paypal limit so will have to ring them or wait to june so it resets as I can’t buy the TM4 on Ebay with pay pal as I’m near my limit :/ The TM4 is a great shout same layout as the TM2 with just a few extra buttons I think? For Around £350 it packs a load of punch for the money and features that will keep me amazed for a good few years (LETS HOPE!) This is great to develop and learn more on it seems so will be perfect, only thing now is to get my pay pal sorted buy it when I have the cash and then learn serato and if its not for me then VDJ will do nicely..

TM4 was ordered then amazon cancelled the order so I cant afford a new one as this was a used one. My next option is the n4 which is probs the best affordable option that gives me a load of features, 4 channel mixer and more output future options! What do you guys think?
