Hey, Im from Sheffield, but study up in Durham. Played a couple of college events using just a laptop, but got my first proper gig in newcastle in October. Where you from? Do you play out?
Doh! Im from Brighton but now live in Cardiff! Used to play out quite a bit in bars and clubs, got to the finals of a couple of local comps. Only just got back into DJing recently when i brought a Reloop Mixage after 5/6 years out because of kids and jobs! Looking to get back out playing again but i need to get to grips with this digital world! lol! They ain’t large lumps of black plastic any more!

lj like you I’ve had a break due to commitments but once a DJ always a DJ. So I bought myself a controller a few years back then started to get asked to play parties so bought a small PA and it grew from there. I’m now back to CDJ’s and taking payed bookings as a mobile DJ but really that’s just pays for upgrades and music. I’d love to get back in a club booth, there’s nothing like making the dance floor bounce.
What kind of music do you play?
lj I think we’re on the same vibe music wise. I’d be up for our own DJ night but we’re a bit scattered so might be a problem getting a few of us together. I’m about to start promoting myself more to look at getting back in to the clubs. I did a kids party at a club here and they do a Tech House night once a month but are having a refit. That’ll be my first call at trying to get a play out. The mobile gigs pay but if ‘m honest my heart ain’t in it. Let me play House o/

Been DJing since uni when I spent my student loan on a pair of SL1210s and a Gemini mixer. Then moved to CDJs for a while and now use Traktor (see sig for details on kit).
