    Try this Rob:
    1: Make your Loop; then Drag and Drop from the Track Title ‘While It Is In The Loop’ to the Sample Deck
    2: The AutoGain Feature in Traktor is so that you can ‘Set The Volume Of 2/4 Decks’ and then Leave Them All Night and they will Stay The Same – the AutoGain doesn’t just Set The Volumes To Be The Same Automatically

    In Preferences you can Turn On AutoGain; and then Every Track that you bring in will be ‘Analysed’ for Volume as well as BPM; and will Adjust the Volumes to be the Same;
    You can Check This (and Make Sure it has Done it) by Right/Control Click above the Traktor Browser; and in the ‘Grey Area’ Choose to ‘Show analysed Column’; this Column will show you All the AutoGain Values

    I hope that Helps Some 🙂

    Thanks for your reply Emma.

    I can drag the title into a sample deck that works great – thanks! Is there any way to assign this to a keyboard shortcut?

    Auto gain seems to be on and all my tracks say that the gain has been adjusted in the Analysed column. The thing is when I look at the level meter on the main mixer the tracks come through at different volumes. Its as if Traktor and the the mixer are measuring gain in a different way.

    I posted in the other thread but I’ll post here as well in case someone stumbles on this thread with the same question.

    add in>sample deck>load from deck and learn it to a button on your controller. Set it to direct then the sample slot you want it assigned to. Then tell it which deck it’s pulling from. It will automatically pull a sample that is whatever size the loop count is sitting at regardless of if a loop is active. If there’s an active loop in the deck the sample pulls from it will load a sample to match that size.

    One of the things I do when I beatgrid my tracks now is to set a loop in certain spots in the song that might make a good sample. That way I can jump to the loop and put the sample in a slot to bring in bits of the next song. I’ll also use the sample in the song often playing over what it’s sampled from for a cool phasing/delay kind of effect.

    Are the songs of decent quality and not youtube rips or anything like that? Do you use any other software to ‘analyze’ your songs? I’m thinking of things like platinum notes or other stuff along those lines.
