Here’s one I picked up recently off Traxsource that I’m feeling…
Title: Streets of Rage (Original Mix) Artist: Hapkido Label: Emby
Genre(s): Deep funky house
With “Deep House” being tossed around, mainly confused with “Future House”, I generally like to stick to what I think is a more “true” sound in the more funky/jazzy vibe that many in Chicago worship.
I liked Streets of Rage mainly for its 90s vibe, as I’m seeing a lot of that sound sliding into the scene lately. I think it’s the organs and piano that gave me that 90s NYC house vibe, along with the wonderful sax solo. The rhythm only keeps the energy going, as I am not into sleepy minimal sounds.
To be fair to everyone and give everyone enough time to post, regardless of their location in the world, we won’t lock the topic until 12:00 UMT (formerly Greenwich Mean Time a.k.a. GMT) on thursday. At that time wednesday will be over in every part of the world.
That just didn’t work I’m afraid Vintage.. I can see the [IMG] tags and the link is broken if you copy it.. You’d think the mods would have some clue as to how the forum works.. π
Might or might not be too mainstream:
Here’s one from Steve Aoki’s new album Neon Future II, don’t know how well listened to the album is yet because it was released today, but this is one I liked.
