There’s still no official support for anything other than F1.

I’ve had people suggest that I use an APC40 for the remix decks. Is this possible at all? What would be the pitfall? I’d like to have an APC40 for Ableton as well so it’d save me money.

Does anybody know where to find a tutorial on the Remix decks that would compensate for the Kontrol S2? The default set-up for the S2 is to have 2 Track Decks + 2 Remix Decks yet the only control I have for my remix decks is volume and the ability to mute/unmute samples while they loop.

I would like to map my S2 for more control of the Remix decks. I am considering contacting Native instruments for advise on this.

No there is no support whatsoever for the APC40 in remix decks. You can of course map the old “sample decks” via midi to the ACP40, but you will not have the power of the remix decks available to you.

Also did not find any really useful tutorials yet.

The hacking has been done and the midi fighter 3d from DJ Tech Tools is one bit of kit to consider

This exists for a while and while I like my midifighter, I would never recommend this to anyone who does not know what he is getting into.
This is a “hack” and hence not supported and most likely discouraged by NI, hence every new patch of Traktor might invalid the hack and make the unit unusable with Remix decks. Plus you will get zero support if something does not work.

The midi fighter 3d would never be unusable and like any kit takes getting used to. As for support DJTT probably offers more support than NI does for it’s own products. I used their firmware hack updates for the VCI 100 and it made it a controller hard to be beaten even by the majority of new controllers being issued out today.

Try this TSI https://maps.djtechtools.com/mappings/53 I don’t know how much controll of the remix decks it gives but it’s worth looking at.
