First off make sure your Traktor recordings settings are set to “internal”, second off make sure you have a program that can play wav files as that is the default and only file type that Traktor records in.

I got it working now, I’m new to the softweare and only just learning it but my god its great heres a link to the mix I’ve just done with it and the denon mc3k. I googled a converter and the first website that pops up does it online and it makes the mp3 twice as small as its compressed (I believe) so thats handy. In my case I had to close the program before playing the recording. Is this the norm with traktor recordings?

Thanks for your response. Heres that link! –> http://www.mixcloud.com/DJshaunpearcey/chartdance-mini-mix-23052013/

P.S. Recording is now fine but what I can’t record is the mic input from my controller. Its a built in soundcard so I don’t understand why I can’t talk over the top of my mix and it be picked up by the recording, is this a simple fix or do I need an external sound card to record voice as well as music?

The mic is most likely routed straight to the master output and therefore has no interaction with the software. Recording internally means that it doesn’t pick up the mic signal. Some controllers allow you to route the mic through the software (usually a switch next to the input). If yours does, you need to route it through deck C or D as a live input.
