    Hi there

You are allowed to use Traktor on two computers at any given time if I remember correctly, so no need to uninstall your PC version, at least until you know your mac version is working. Nor is your PC install portable i.e. you can’t just put it on a hard disk – Mac’s dont run PC software either.

How did you install your PC version, did you have install disks or did you get a download link? If it came on disks, I presume it has the mac version on it too? If so, pop the disks into your mac, install and enter your license key (if you didn’t keep a copy log into the NI site and it can be found using the Registered Products link).

IF you used a download link, then that will be for the PC version only, you need the version for a Mac. This you can get by either contacting NI and be prepared to wait a few days for a reply (up to a week is normal at the moment), who will send you a link for the install file if they are feeling helpful (very unusual for NI ;). Or point you to the demo version page, which is what they did to me two years ago in the same situation as you.

Alternatively you can cut out the waiting and use the link below which they sent me:

I think back then you could just download the software but now you have to fill out the details on the small form and a link will be emailed to you in goodness of time. Install from that link and then just enter your licence key and it should work 🙂
