You probably have Traktor set to automatically check for new tracks when you start up. When you delete a track from the collection, it stays in the folder and will be seen as a new track (since its now not in the collection).

There’s a setting where you can change the behaviour.

alternatively, when you want to delete a track permantly, then pick delete file instead of delete from collection.

Thanks Vintage, do you happen to know how to change that behavior your talking about?

I think it’s under file management import music-folders on startup. If you uncheck it (should be checked if that’s what’s causing the problem) then it should no longer do this. It’s the advised setting as you don’t want it to start importing new stuff when you fire up your laptop at a gig.

If you delete from collection, you get three choices. The bottom one is delete from hard disk. This totally removes the track.

    Hope that helps & greetinx.

Hey Vintage, I unchecked the import music files on start up for traktor pro and it worked! Thanks again and sorry for the late response.
