    Yes you can, however your software has to understand the routing you do (in Traktor and VDJ that is no problem).
    However if you do not need the DVS function and the Traktor Scratch License, there are many cheaper soundcards that basically do the same and offer similar quality of sound.

    Do you have an example for cheaper alternatives? I’m looking for sth like an Audio 8 or Audio 10, wich has at least 3 (stereo) outputs and at least 2 inputs. A mic preamp would also help.

    I would look at the huge selection of Focusrite Audio Interfaces like the Saffire 6 USB.

    A bit more expensive are the offerings from Akai, but I have never had any problems with Focusrite and even use them for recording stuff in the studio.
    Some other guys swear by MOTU but they are also a bit more expensive.

    Saffire 6 USB doesnt have 6 outs (3 stereo outputs) – it only has four (2 stereo)

    I really dont think you can find an audio interface with the specs of Audio 10 with a great difference in price. Add to that the powerful, higher-than-studio-standards output of the NI interfaces and there really is no choice – at least for DJing.

    That said, I do use the Saffire 6 USB in my studio – but not in live-DJ gigs.

    Indeed, my bad. But I am sure they have something in their offerings and I really like their stuff.
