    Do you have performance problems? Might be that Traktor does constant streaming of data from disk and as long as there are no hiccups it is fine.

    Thanks for getting back to me Kent, I don’t have any issues as of yet, but only been using it at home didn’t really trust it to use it live yet because it didn’t seem right but I only base that coming from VDJ I have read a lot of people saying 2.6 has been a CPU hog, I guess the only way to find out is try a long set at home……

    Usually if you have performance problems, you hear it in forms of dropped audio data, glitches and so on. Sometimes it helps increasing the Traktor buffer size to 256 and so on as you don’t need low latencies for DJ:ing unless you are a scratch artist. Most hard disk drivers have been stable and the same code for ages, might even be that Vista has less overhead as an OS compared with later versions. If there’s a performance problem in 29 of 30 cases it is related to the hardware platform itself.
