I have tested it just a bit, just from my Kontrol S4. I don’t own any sample controllers. I found it difficult. I don’t understand anything of this whole sample thing. Maybe I’m just a noob on this sample thing, but I couldn’t find any button on the traktor software from direct press-play to let the sample loop constantly.

i did notice that the CPU meter on mine is a bit higher than before. People were saying that theirs have gotten lower….glad im not the only one …..lmfao to the “treasurer” comment

The only thing I was really looking forward too was the 64 sample slots and mapping it to my drum pad. I do like the F1 and the fact that u can default it to control some features…..wasnt going to buy it cause I was stubborn and didnt like the price point….but every time I look at it I see an empty space for it in my set up lol….more of a question of… Do I do eat Mr.Noddles for the Month of June and buy the F1 or lose countless hours of sleep thinking about it on a full stomach?….decisions decisions…I know they said they would eventually open it up to other midi controllers but it wont be as intergrated

So far the F1 is the only way to get full functionality out of the remix decks. I just sucked it up and got one. I might post a video or atleast some picks in a bit.

Going to be awhile before I buy an F1. At this point I’m thinking I need a different controller.

Did they improve HID and high-res MIDI support in 2.5? Like do the high res jogs on the VCI-400 actually work now or do you still have to buy one of their controllers to get decent jog integration?

I believe they did integrate some HID but possibly for only some devices. Mostly Pioneer equipment I believe.

So after a pretty in depth play with my F1…I’d definitely recommend it. Sooooo much fun! So many possibilities.

I ve seen some people have already hacked it to open it up to other controllers. Theres one for Maschine in the works, not for IOS yet. I think I might wait it out a bit longer and see what they come up with. However i dont think it would top the integration of the F1. Once I see some more peformances on it…I may get it to repalce my vestax pad one….lmao everytime I see your display “You can never have enough controllers” I’m more tempted to buy it….CAUSE YOUR RIGHT LOL

Well I have just found out how to use the original traktor I purchased. 2.0.3. This version works best for my laptop for cpu load. 2.5 maxs out, I have had CPU trouble ever since upgrading from 2.0.3. For those that want to know howto roll back…. the previous versions are in the native instruments folder under backup (in program files or programs) on a PC.

Yep I had to keep rolling back to 2.0.3 as the next few updates gave me troubles, one of them being CPU load. It was obviously some sort of design flaw as 2.5 dramatically went down in load. I believe the next update may drop even lower again.

For me they (updates) have unfortunately got progressively worse. Rolling back 2.0.3 and the load is so minimal. I will have a stab in the dark as to why…. in 03’s config there is no multiprocessor support.
