ParticipantUsed it for about ten mins and first impression. Love it, But now I need a new laptop as it overloads the cpu! Oh and I reckon I need to convince my treasurer (wife lol) that the F1 would be a great investment as well!!!!!

What laptop you running this on? I’m interested as many people are reporting that the load is much lower on this compared to any updates after 2.0.3.
I’ve already pre ordered my F1…can’t wait!

Something tell me I should wait…I would definitely try it out. You can always rollback to the previously installed version without any harm. Just export your preferencese settings before you update.

ParticipantYeah your specs are pretty low. Lucky laptops are pretty cheap these days!

I’m having a feeling that 2.5 is not going to play well with the Altimira mapping that I’m using for my 6000.
Some times I think I shoulda bought an S4.May 25, 2012 at 3:34 am #1005040Steelo
ParticipantNot much has really changed for most of the basic functions so I’m guessing that almost everything will work just fine.

ParticipantTo be honest, I’m wondering why I should switch. I don’t use the Sample Decks or the Loop Recorder right now.
4 deck mixing is what I do most.May 26, 2012 at 11:43 pm #1005109Steelo
ParticipantDepends on exactly what version you’re using. They have introduced a few new/updated features. They have also resolved a few bugs. I stuck it out with 2.0.3 as any updates after that caused me issues, particularly with CPU load. This update resolved that and just generally runs very smoothly. I find this version can handle quite a bit of load too. I gave it a bit of a test, running 3 decks 4 sample decks all with keylock and chained effects, switched things up and ran DVS as well and at the lowest latency setting @ 44.1 (my standard setting) the audio didn’t choke. If you’re running 4 decks then this mght be of interest to you.

ParticipantI may give it a go. Just as soon as I find a bug free .tsi file for my 6000.
By the way, I’m using 2.1.3.May 27, 2012 at 10:36 am #1005118B.B. Koning

By the way, I’m using 2.1.3.Sub, let me know how it works out with your 6000.
I’ve been playing around with mine using CDJs on channel 1 and 4 and using 3 and 4 to load decks A and B from Traktor. Some of the loading features and other things seem to not be responding to the mapping file, but maybe I’m doing something wrong.
Also, my laptop is weenie, but I had no issues with prior version of Traktor. This one is giving me the hiccups and click and pops.
And I haven’t tried entering comments yet, so I don’t know if it will over-write my files yet or not.

ParticipantGoing to be awhile before I switch. I’m still trying to find a .tsi file for my 6000 that’s bug free.

ParticipantSo after hooking up my midi fighter and loading the tsi…it went crazy! It started just randomly turning on and off effects…Guess it might not be such a simple changeover after all. My bad.

ParticipantI suspect it won’t be long before the first update is released.
