    I don’t know if you heard of this, but there’s actually an app created to search for songs. If you listened to a particular song you like, record it and search. It was supposed to be revolutionary but nobody seemed to use it :/

    Hello Adam :);
    Yes; I have heard of something for Apple Phones; but I don’t have one of those;
    And I read of some Free Software for PC the other night; but you have to have a Microhone that you put in front of the Speaker; but; it does say it will Identify Virtually Anything; so I would Definitely Recommend it;
    But for now; I will have to rely on Our DJ Ears and Memories 🙂

    WOW !!
    You are a Champion Adam :);
    It wasn’t the Track you pointed me to; but; it was the Correct Artist; as when I looked at her other Tracks; there was one called
    ‘On top Of The World’; which is the Actual Track I was after; so that is a Definite Buy; and I can now go to bed Happy 🙂 :);
    Thank You So Much xx

    (For anybody else interested; the Track is ‘Ninca Leece – On Top Of The World’)

    that app also has a site that will identify it for free (provided you have a mic hooked up) you can sing it or hum it or whatever. Although it didn’t work when I tried to find some song that’s been stuck in my head for a few days. All i can remember is the melody which is impossible to describe…

    🙂 Ok.. I need a bit of help. There’s a House track (I’m assuming) floating around with the lyrics going something like, “Hold On, (We’re) Never Gonna Let Go” … I havent heard it but was asked by a friend if I knew it. Hearing them ‘sing a sample’ it sounds like it could be a remix of an 80’s track.. or the production could be an homage.

    Anything?

    if you have a smart phone have you heard of shazam. When you hear a song you like but dont know what it is you just open the app and it takes about 5 seconds of the song and can give you the title, artist, alumb etc; I use it all the time in a club lol

    Shazam FTW!

    What’s even better than the recognition is that I can sit down once a week and download all the songs that I tagged that week, conveniently grouped by artist, album etc…

    I use to physcially write songs down as i heard them on scratch paper and had piles everywhere.
