yeah and honestly the only thing that keeps me from doing so:money… considering the S2 is the half of the Denon(with sold TPro2 license). If i musn`t look for the financials i would just keep the S2 for bedroom/home use or as a second backup controller and get me the Denon also .-)

It`s some sort of dilemma:sending the S2 back, knowing that atm i can`t afford the Denon so i`ll have to wait till next month, weeks without controller, already had 5weeks of “forced break” as i sold my reloop dj2 back in january..but i do also think that the Denon will get an new pricing in the next weeks just to sell more of the units..its a really hard decision to keep or not to keep the S2

I can`t really describe what i don`t like about the s2,after mixing a a few testsets this weekend:the controls are really on point, that`s tight but it feels somewhat “sterile” to mix with the s2,don?t know if it`s because of the size, the button arrangement, the Poti Knobs that aren`t so light to turn around..something is there that doesn`t feel right..if you are coming off the S2 to play a set on a standard pioneer djm,you feel like in heaven, the placement of the jogwheels on the s2 also isn`t optimal because of the cuepoint/sampler unit directly bottom of the wheels,if you are in hectic you could easily press one of the cue buttons after touching the jog or other way around,i think they should have done the sampler/cue unit at the top and the jogs beneath it or at the outer sides of the jogs

and i noticed another major weak point:the USB connector at the back of the s2 is definately the achilles heel of the whole unit, the usb cord sits in there so tight that if you are unplugging it, you think you will rip out the whole connector..tight is good but that`s much too tight and it really feels like after 100times plug in,plug out, this connector MUST brake..can`t imagine that this connector is rock stable in the long term

Beware! Virtual licences are non-transferable so you won’t have a legal copy of the software or be eligible for upgrades, support, or access to effects, skins or any other downloads.
