    It made me forget the MC3000 in 5 seconds flat and has me yearning for the MC8000 LOL

    Yeah the MC 7000 or 8000 .. be interesting to see that controller when they come out with it , the 4000 looks impressive and looks like it will be perfect for my next step controller .Looking forward to the Dj Digital tips review . now it’s time to save

    Just been offered a Red Vestax VCI-380 for $300 US ,it’s a great looking unit was wondering if it a good upgrade from the MC 2000 ?

    Actually Vestax is out of business.
    So there are 2 sides to this:
    Yes the 380 is a really nice controller, however it is no longer supported. Getting firmware updates or even current drivers could be a problem.

    Yeah decided not to go for the vestax .. The ones that were going cheaply went too quickly anyway.

    Ok Have a friend of a friend who has offered me a Numark N4 over the weekend for $160 US It is brand new he has had it for 2 years and never used it , its still in the box .. They are going new for $640US here so it’s a bargain,

    I am interested as one of the limitations on my Mc2000 is not having XLR outputs .. which can cause me problems when Im plugging into a venues system . Im starting to get regular wedding gigs and the occasional club and band support gig too. And with the N4 can get a upgrade at a price I can afford ATM .

    I use Serato DJ and not sure if the N4 has many if any more features than the MC 2000 like sample buttons .. loops effects etc from that. I noticed it runs serato video ..don’t know much about it .
    I’m a little worried about the build quality being plastic . If I get the N4 I will need to sell the MC2000 to go towards some new speakers ..
    Guys need your advise is it worth going from a Denon Mc 2000 to a Numark N4 ?

    Well you would gain 4 deck control, a bigger control surface and not much else, and lose the build quality, the materials and the compactness of the MC2000.

    Your call.

    Neither is particularly up to date with current controller features (Sample pads/Serato Flip/Traktor Remix etc..)

    Thanks for all the help. Ended up buying a vestex 400 a Friend was selling as he was not DJ ing he only used it twice in his room , came with a nice case too for $200 US .. so I took the risk buying a vestax Been impressed so far lots to learn with it . Works fine with serato and my Windows laptop.. its jjust hasn’t got the serato skin .. which I need to get …I’m keeping the MC000 ATM as I’m travelling to Africa an Europe soon and have 2 weddings to DJ there and the compact size of the MC000 will be good for travelling, but I am temptedto take the 400 ..
