    Wadih,

I have just recently started to use the NS6 as a standalone mixer for my 1200s, but have yet to start messing with the EQs.
Do you notice any different with the NS6 when using with itch vs as a stand alone mixer?

    Regards,

not sure what effect you are using, I use “minimal systems instruments – ultimate 3 band” it is perfect and much better than my djm600 that has been collecting dust since I found the plugin… the only set back is you need to disable the plugin to scratch, but it’s as easy as mapping the jog touch as..

    vinyl_mode 1 ? down ? effect ‘utimate 3 band’ active off & touchwheel_touch 1 : touchwheel_touch 0 & effect ‘utimate 3 band’ active on : touchwheel_touch

It doesn’t really matter that the effect is disabled when you scratch as the difference in eq levels isn’t really noticable..

@vinny not sure about itch but with vdj you can route the audio through the software so they use same eq for both mp3’s and the phono/line input… you can even switch between timecode and the real input by mapping a button to “linein“, or if you use your keyboard, you just need to make a deck designation in the mapping eg… “deck 3 linein

Thanks synthet ! I will try that plugin tonight and see how it compares to the current vst plugin I use. However, I still wanna hear people’s experiences with the mc6000 external eq vs internal eq. cheers

Proper club mixers always have nicer sounding EQs… thats my experience anyways. I don’t know the technical reasons behind it but they just sound better in general to me.

The Denon MC6000 has a built in proper club mixer and is to be used in external mode
when used with Traktor as well as with external soundsources.
Then there is no difference between MC6000 and external clubmixer IMO…..

    Hi Wadih,

I am sorry that you feel that way about your Ns6 as I think it is a very good controller
overall and that Numark has done a step up in quality o that unit.

However the Denon MC6000 is IMO a fantastic unit if you do not have to thick fingers 🙂

Why don’t you go to a store and find out what you think yourself?
