It is definitelty easier to get a wedding gig or something similar, and it is clear that you have some kind of bonding with people responsible for making the wedding “perfect” therefore you dont have all the space to experiment and play the thing you solerly want people to hear. But as it goes for skill: You can be a skillful DJ and try to make living and earn from weddings because thats how things roll, or you can be only “decent” and still make good impression. Impression is the keyword. I’m neglecting the skill it’s just sometimes the reality is … different
