First I would get one of these: http://www.decksaver.co.uk/covers/midi-controller-covers/reloop-tm4-cover

And then I would buy a decent bag.. It will cost more but if it means you don’t wreck your controller due to damage then it’ll be worth it.. Don’t skimp.

And if you want to be really over the top, get a flightcase 😉

If you travel with it a lot and don’t have to carry it in your hand or on your back but in a car, flightcase is usually the way to go. Looks professional, no taking it out and putting it back in a bag, leaving stuff connected (my main leads stay plugged into my controller, I take the lid of the flightcase roll out the leads and plug them in to wherever they go – mic, PA, power, etx) and obviously maximum protection for your precious gear.

    Hi Dj Vintage,

Thanks for the tip:-) I usually travel with 2 1210’s, vinyl and sometimes the Rane SL2 with Serato. I’ve got all these in flightcases.

But sometimes when I travel far to DJ by plane I just want a simple way to take it onboard the plane without breaking the regulation when it comes to the size of the hand luggage. The problem is that a flightcase will be to big for this.

    Hi bob6397,

I’ve already bought the dustcover:-) Any tip on a good bag?

Yep, wouldn’t air travel with a flightcase, unless I can stick it in special cargo without too much of extra cost.

Nope, the UDG clearly are a good choice, but pricey as I understand. Not up to speed with other bag manufacturers. Sorry.
