    Hey clockwise

I listened to your mix and although I’m not very familiar with the style of music, I really liked your set! The tracks seem well chosen to me. The first thing I noticed was the varation. I was able to tell every transition, and regarding that I have to admit that sometimes I find that hard within this genre. Here and there the transitions might be a wee bit off and I have the feeling that you changed the pitch out of nowhere sometimes? I don’t know if you did it on purpose as I don’t have a lot of experience myself, so don’t blame me if it’s a common thing to do haha. Btw, I have a lot of respect for you trying to beatmatch using vinyl! I also admire your gear a lot. Hopefully there will come a time that I’ll be owning the same stuff.

Off to get to know some more of this kind of music now 😉

    Cheers!

Thank you very much for your review and your kind words 🙂

Being able to tell every transition; is this a good or a bad thing? 😉 Should I try to do them more smoothly?

Haha 😀 the Pitch-change … this is nowhere done on purpose: I have mapped the master speed adjust to the gain-knob of deck c and if I forget to change the modifier/shift I change the speed instead of the gain … guess i have to rethink my mapping, this happens a bit too often 😉 I did this to change the speed while keeping the playing maschine in sync.

Regarding the gear, there’s an advice from me: Learn your gear before moving on to the next – I bought too much! My F1 lays waste at the moment. I’m concentrating on the S4/maschine and the occasional vinyl (which is really fun, having the music at your hands – literally). The MF3D will be the next one to master!

I’m glad i introduced you to new music 🙂

    As always, enjoy the music!

    greets

It’s definately not a bad thing clock. I admit that sometimes I find it hard to divide all the different songs in a techno mix, as I find the synths and such sounding much more subtle than in other music genres. My ears are probably not trained enough haha.

The point where you mix in the Lambada remix could’ve happened a bit more gentle maybe, but I never find the transitions too harsh or anything.

And yes I see you’re owning a lot of gear. Still seems like you’re getting the most out of it though?

Anyway, keep up the good work! I will surely keep an ear on your work 😉

Hi, I’ve listened to your set and I liked it! It starts out with some nice groovy minimal and later on it’s a little more liek progressive house. The variation in your set keeps it interesting. Maybe sometimes there is a bit to much variation, hereby some transitions are a bit hard. But overall your mixing technique is solid.

I also like your maschine. I’d love to have my own some day 😉 The maschine always gives an extra layer of depth to a DJ set. Also keep up the good work with the vinyl! The combination of the vinyl with your digital equipment leads to an interesting setup.

    Greets!
