    Get the SB and a cheap analog faderfox or a used one (50 bucks).
    Hook up a cheap mp3 player or 2 to the faderfox… there is your backup.

    With bigger controllers, they mostly have analogue inputs, so you can have your backup plugged in there.

    Yes I have seen the bigger ones have the extra inputs, not having these is my biggest concern.
    I haven’t heard of a faderfox but I guess any cheap small mixer would be along the same idea?

    Pretty obvious solutuion really, I guess I was trying to over complicate it.
