    Most decent over-ear headphones have removable ear cups.. take them off and wash them properly? I wouldn’t use any intensive chemicals as the dye will run but warm water should be fine.. Soak them for a bit 🙂

    Obviously don’t soak the headphone bit though.. Probably won’t do it any good!

    Indeed this is a trick of legendary DJs:
    – Tanke sweaty cover off headphonnes
    – put hand warm water in sink
    – add a little (really a little) hair shampoo into sink
    – put sweaty stinky cover in and soak for 30min
    – take cover out AND DO NOT WRING IT OUT
    – put on a towel and let it air dry for at least 24 hours

    I have seen people stick them into one of those bra bags for the washing machine and just running them through cold (30-40 degree) program with the rest of the laundry. Again, don’t put in the dryer but air dry.
