Good question Mario. I haven’t had that one happen to me yet. I guess it really depends on the person in the wheelchair too.

I have had wheelchairs in the audience before and it ranged from young people in those “sports” chairs that could do crazy stuff on the floor with it to a kid with a really heavy and cumbersome chair that wasn’t able to do much by way of moving around himself, but who was whirled around by friends (and clearly enjoying it).

This being a wedding and bride most likely in full gown, I don’t have a ready answer for that one. Looking into getting a second chair perhaps?

Hope someone comes up with the ultimate answer to this one.

p.s. This is clearly not a FORUM NEWS item, so I am moving this to the appropriate forum. Please post in the right place next time.

It’s possible to dance with someone is a wheelchair. It helps to have a lightweight, sports wheelchair and it will depend on the height, athleticism, and dance experience of the bride and father of the bride. It’s also a little trickier when male (who by convention is the lead) is in the wheelchair.

About halfway through this video it changes to waltz type dance and shows a partner with a capable female lead and a male follow in a wheelchair.
