    You simply used the wrong connector… you need a TRS mono cable from your splitter to go to the speakers and feed both speakers the mono signal.

    But for really good function the signal will be to weak anyways, one of the things why DJing from the iPad does not really work well yet.

    Hey Terry, thanks for the info, I read an article by DJTechTools that said this cable was an option (but clearly not a very good one). I still like the idea of having a cable to just get me started practicing on Traktor DJ and VirtualDJ free before I invest in real equipment, would you then recommend I grab one of Native Instruments’ splitter cables for the time being?

    No it is the same cable.

    There is no real training you can do with just your iPad that is not done in a day.

    I would recommend saving up and getting some real equipment and not spending money on equipment that you will no longer use in a week.
