There is the Magma Controller and Laptop Stand, which is pretty decent.
Then there are several flight cases for 70-150 bucks, just look at any of the dj stores they have a great selection.

I only put my controller on the booth desk and have a Crane Stand Pro for my laptop.

I was hoping to find something that didn’t require a table. Like a standalone stand for everything. Could’ve swore I seen someone with one for his NS7 but I doubt I could get one within budget. As always, thanks for the reply, Terry!

Maybe you should consider buying two of these , or something similar. Or you could buy any Tripod-Laptop stand and try to find a add-on to it for placing your controller on it. Just a suggestion 🙂

Just use a keyboard stand, put a flightcase on it to make it a table. You can outfit the flightcase with rubber pads from home depot to make it “non slip”, so it wont fly off the stand.
If you want a “booth” around that stand, just go to youtube and search for “selfmade dj booth” and you will see a lot of suggestions.

Thanks guys. I haven’t bought a flight case yet because I only have a Numark Mixtrack and I’m sure a case would cost about the same as my controller did. Unfortunately, I’m low on funds too. All of these ideas are wonderful! As a matter of fact, a few DJ friends suggested the same things you guys did 😀

Damn man, that sounds awesome! You’d probably get a lot of love if you posted up some pics and a short tutorial or summary like you just did. That kind of DIY stand sounds great.

A little off topic: Another added problem with picking out stands is that I’m unfortunately using a desktop style external harddrive for my music currently and need room to stand it up or put it somewhere safe (was DJing a party a few weeks ago and was really drunk with several people crowded around me when someone kicked it over and now the power base is all messed up). I really worry about losing 2TB of data so I might have to invest in a more portable 500GB external soon. Also wish I had USB 3.0 on my laptop because it takes forever and a day to load the contents of larger folders on an external harddrive.

I have wood platform with grey speaker carpet held on with velcro strips on both sides underneath.pretty sturdy so far.I think a velcro strip on your hard drive would do the trick.I have a 1tb.no issues so far. gpeacekepr31@charter.net
