Could you indicate what some advantages would be (particularly in terms of DJing) over the current model of downloading mp3s / adding to library / creating playlists?

You can listen PROPERLY to most of the world’s music on demand – like, instantly. this way you can have it on all day, and instantly buy anything you want to DJ with. You still use the current model.

Yeah what Phil said, it’s like radio, but you can pick what you listen to. It doesn’t replace anything in the terms of DJ’ing, it’s just a tool to help with digging.
Iv been using Spotify for about 3 years now and its a life changer! I listen to the majority of my music through it at work now.
I haven’t bought the paid subscription because i seriously wouldn’t get the use of it even though i use it all the time.. But i have noticed when i first started using it the adverts only used to appear once an hour for about 2 minutes, now they are every 10-15 minutes!
I’ve been using it for the past week or so, it’s pretty cool. I like the facebook integration/sharing playlists with friends.
I’m using it to discover new music or songs on the go, but I don’t think I would use the subscription service. Only about 40% is 320 kbps , which is deal-breaker for me.
