    It doesn’t have a hamster switch on the controller, you can set the crossfader in reverse through the software but its not a simple flick of the switch action. Maybe check out some of the reloop controllers since DJ Angelo is their spokesman.

    Thanks for your response i’ve spent a bit more time with the demo of traktor and can do the hamster switch with the software which is fine for me
    then i saw the vestax vci380 running serato itch and i’m thinking this maybe the best option for me as i can also plug my mk5gs into into and its features suit my kind of mixing.
    Anyones opinion on the vestax would be helpful thanks

    Vestax controllers are excellent it terms of design and build quality. One of the best brands at the moment (in my opinion). If you like Traktor then you could look in to the VCI-400. The VCI-380 is great but I’m not really a fan of itch. Its great for basic mixing but lacks more advanced features (again in my opinion)

    Just Switched From Numark N4,to Vestax VCI 300MKII.The jogs on Vestax are so nice and Serato Itch is great!Also got the vfx 1 unit also 500.00 on Craigs list.Older Controller but for my feel and needs great unit.

    can anyone tell me if the vci300 or vci400 opertate as a stand alone mixer i can plug my technics into as well
    I’ve always liked vestax mixers had a pmc08 pro and stupidly swapped to a rane empath when i bought a denon dns 5500 for the third channel wished afterwards id just used it on the line/phono switch afterwards

    400 can act as a standalone mixer, 300 can’t.
