What I was doing on Saturday was Experimenting outside of Presets;
I Turned Off Everything except the Stutter and the High Pass Filter; selected Palindrome Looping (so at the End of the Loop it comes Back again – but without Reversing); Loaded an Acapella; then a Drum loop; then a Full Track; and found that by just pressing C2 and D (and using a Rhythm Method of Tapping); I was able to Create some Unbelievable Effects; it is Important to Select ‘Gesture Length’ as One Bar; and ‘Release Mode’ as On Grid (with the Method I was using); however; the amount of Effects Available from just pressing One Key and Selecting Different ‘Gesture Lengths’; ‘Release Modes’; ‘Grid Positions’; (Obviously Presets too); Plus Turning On and Off Effects; and Changing the Gestures (Sliders) on these Effects; including the fact that Each of Our Keys (up to 81 I think); make the Sounds from this VST Close To Infinite; with ‘Our Own Creativity’ this seems like a ‘Must Buy’ to me ๐ ๐July 3, 2011 at 9:43 pm #2692Alex Wild

Isn’t Torq ‘Made’ by Avid?

I have just looked it up and it is actually on the avid.com website;
But their Description says;
‘DJ Performance Software from the Makers of Pro Tools’
I just thought that meant the ‘Apple Group’ (which I know Nothing about);
So Apologies for any Misunderstanding ๐July 10, 2011 at 7:56 pm #3467Anonymous

MemberI am using Deckadance, too. They are always doing updated and fixing bugs.
I like the samplers and the VST host (when it works right). The multi band compressor VST really makes the bass sound louder and hit hard!August 18, 2011 at 1:36 pm #1001444Eduardo Beattie
MemberI use Mixxx. I just have a Hercules DJ Control MP3 E2, and I don’t really like VDJ LE. I’m planning to upgrade to a mixtrack pro soon, so I’ll probably use traktor LE.
BTW Is it true that traktor LE has a 30 minute timer, then it shuts down?

ParticipantEmma.
The beatgrid in Ableton will not work in Trakton or am I wrong?
I am correcting all the beatgrids that T2 has done wrong (about 100%)
At the same time I’m going through the lib. to get rid of tracks I do not want/useThe files that does not have constant BPM I will run in Aleton to get them constantif that is what you mean ๐
(that is the next step)Thanks anyway ๐

I mentioned Ableton my Friend because I read elsewhere on the Forum that you have or use Ableton;
My Suggestion was to just Warp your Tracks in Ableton rather than Traktor;
But if you are not yet using Ableton to DJ with; then there doesn’t seem much point in my Suggestion :);
However; if you take a look at the following article; it tells you Exactly How to set up Traktor to run as a Slave within Ableton; Traktor is Very Happy working within the Ableton Environment and is becoming the ‘Norm’ with some;http://www.djtechtools.com/2008/04/04/smart-mixing-traktor-with-ableton/

ParticipantEmma!
Thank you for the reply.
I might get Abelton a try to DJ with in the future.
For now I have chosen the Traktor2 scratch pro because it supports my gear in a good way.I do not think that you can run Ableton with timecode?
Interesting article I will read it in depth, thank you ๐

You can, you just need The Bridge for Serto or a third-party plug-in like Ms Pinky or similiar.

OK thank you for that reply, didn’t think about that ๐
But then you must have the Serato soundcard (I tested SSL 3 and soundquality was really bad)
and SSL SW ??//DJ Hessler
