It wont really matter, however I think switching to the mixtrack pro is prolly cheaper if you already have the Traktor license. If you do not yet have a license for the software get the A2…

The mixtrack pro doesn’t actually have a low latency ASIO soundcard in it, It uses standard drivers. You should go for the Audio 2 as it is an ASIO soundcard, The Numark DJI/O is also ASIO if you want to stay with numark, but I have an Audiio 2 as a backup and love it. I don’t know about the older version but the newer one has the same internals as the Audio 6 & 10 soundcards and is nice and clear for a dj soundcard.

Thanks for the help as always, guys! Unfortunately, I sold my Mixtrack and ordered a Mixtrack Pro before I could read your response, synthet1c. Now I need help choosing headphones! *facepalm* I posted in another thread but I will quote my post here since I’m trying to avoid making yet another thread.

I’m actually needing help picking headphones too and instead of making a new thread, I’ll post here. My budget is between $50-$75 but I could possibly push to $100. I’ve looked around at reviews on this site and others and still can’t decide!

I’ve basically narrowed it down to Zomo HD-1200’s, Sennheiser HD-205-II’s, or Numark Red Waves. Should I be looking at other options or which one of these three should I purchase? Any and all help is definitely appreciated, as always.

You can install the ASIO4ALL drivers if you need on any Windows laptop for the mixtrack to make it lower latency.
You wont need that on a Mac since it is recognised by CoreAudio on OS X Lion.

Thanks, Terry. I didn’t realize there’d be an issue with latency but I’ll do anything I can to reduce it. I haven’t ordered the Mixtrack Pro yet as I’m still undecided on headphones. Also, so I won’t bump the other thread needlessly, thank you for your input on headphones. I’m still trying to decide but only because the Zomo’s are a little pricier..though may be worth the ability to flip the cups (I’m not sure if the Sennheiser HD-205-II’s have this ability). Again, thanks for all of your help…seems you’re my personal DJ tutor on these forums lol

Don’t assume you’ll have a latency issue though – it may well be fine.
