Well I am a mobile and have an MC 6000 and run VDJ pro. The bpm’s are often so far out on the older stuff as you say, but having invested in the gear and software and of course the time figuring it all I guess my only hope is the beat gridding is fixed in VDJ 8. Personally, I would live with it if you can and see what the next installment brings. When it finally arrives.

I’ve switched to Mixvibes Cross now going from Djay->VDJ->Traktor->SeratoDJ->Traktor->Mixvibes Cross.
I do feel much more connected to my music now then I’ve ever done with DDJ’ing. It is verry much like Serato in many ways but I like it million time more. I love the smart playlists. Only think that Traktor has better is FX and Sampler/remix decks (but only if you have an F1 or MF3d) with Serato I don’t see anything better.
Cross has hid suport for all of the Pioneer CDJ (with usb connection) it’s just getting better and better for every release and they are quite rapid.

Thanks Gulli, good input from someone that has travelled the broad and narrow of available options out there.

Cross is looking better by the minute and might just be the platform for me to settle on. I don’t use remix decks (not that kind of DJ I guess) and I have excellent FX in my X1600 mixer (and can still map the midi on the mixer to trigger FX in the software :-)) so not too worried there.

I was interested in Serato, but the “closed” environment blew me off. I am tech savvy, so fiddling with stuff is not a biggy. Hence the “plug and play” isn’t a very big advantage to me.

    Thanks again & greetinx,
    C.
