Currently the downgrade back to the SSL firmware is not supported by Rane as far as we are informed.
So if you patch your firmware you are pretty much stuck with the new firmware.
I heard some people made it, but some others had huge problems, so I would advise against it.

On the other hand, with what Serato DJ currently offers, they have pretty much any feature that I loved about SSL integrated in SDJ, so honestly I see no reason why one would not want to upgrade to SDJ.

Yep, at some point you have to get out of your A-type Ford and into a brand new F150 Raptor

Heheh. Yeah, I want to but it’s my understanding I can’t use The Bridge with SDJ… Is that still the case?
Or do u know of anyway to replace it? Thats pure gold to me.

Nope no Bridge and honestly with all the features in SDJ I never used it again. I have flip, SP, pitch and slice. Adding Ableton would be way to complicated and a bit too much for most parts.

Tbh I’ve never investigated any of those except for the sp. I’ll check em out and hope I can use em to play my Ableton produced stems in a similar way. But I’ll steer clear of messing w the firmware and get a second piece of hardware if nec until I’m convinced I can fully transition. Thanks muchly!
