Nothing wrong with Serato. Don’t know what the pricing is now. I ended up getting Mixvibes Cross with Video and CDJ HID support. It’s gone up a little in price, but still a reasonable 129 euro (I am in Holland too πŸ™‚ ).

If you are happy using intro and have done some work to your tracks in Serato already, best bet would be to stick with that software.

    Tnx for your reply πŸ™‚

At bax-shop.nl they have these prices:
    Serato DJ: €129,-
    Serato Video: €147,-
Serato DJ + Serato Video €185,-

For now I’m happy with Serato DJ Intro, but I want to practice with the full version and all of the features that comes whit it.
Also I really want to get into recording mixes. Not only for listening them back for myself, I want to put them only so I can get an even bigger reaction about what was good and what was not.
I know you can also record Serato DJ Intro with Audacity. I have tried it but it just won’t work. Every time I record something, the sound quality is terrible.

Be aware that your controller won’t support all features of the full version, just not enough buttons on it πŸ˜€

Yea, I know that. I’m think that if I really need it, I will map the controller a bit and I have also already look at the Reloop Neon. In my opinion it look like a really good midi controller witch a can map to what I like to have. But that’s something for later πŸ™‚

Indeed the Neon will do the trick πŸ™‚
I love Serato myself and it is my preferred software. If you are used to intro, then you will find yourself right at home in Serato DJ. There are of course some more features, but that you will have down in no time.

Video is great to play around with, but I have never actually VJed a lot. It works perfectly fine however and integrates smoothly into DJ.

    Tnx Terry,

I do also think that I will feel me at home in Serato DJ.
And for me I think the same about Serato Video, but at me sport club they want to have a DJ at parties and most of the time they ask me. The grad thing is that thy have a good beamer and a white wall in combination whit a TV, so if I want to I can connect that do my laptop for Serato Video, that probably the mean reason why I want to have Serato Video.

A bit of another question, do you know if you can try out Serato Video in the 14 days trial of Serato DJ?

    Tnx πŸ™‚
