    Why not trouble yourself a bit and have a go with both, and then decide whitch software fills your needs better, especially when both of them are free?

    I agree, try both. I use full serato with my controller, but have free virtualDJ on a back up touchscreen laptop in case of system crashing/emergency

    The mixtrack pro 2 is so popular that you could pretty much use it with any software so go nuts!

    I used numark controllers for a long time, from my experience mixtrack series works better with virtual dj (easier settings, full simulation etc). Serato is also good, but has caused me a few problems in setting outputs and soundcard. Why don’t you also try traktor, if you have not done already?
