ParticipantIMHO the behringer bcd3000 will do what ya want and has much smaller jogs for IF you ever need them. Sound card is built in. it also has a small footprint.

MemberI’m really interested in the twitch, I too have no use for jogwheels. Unfortunately I don’t have one yet so I can’t comment as to whether or not you should purchase one, but everything I’ve read and seen online seems to point towards it being a ideal purchase for people who want to get into digital djing, and don’t need jogs.
There’s also a new post today on this site featuring the Twitch, check it out.

MemberWith the sync button I have to admit the jog wheels become pretty unimportant but there’s something about having the larger ones on the mixtrack that sort of give it a more authentic feel. I don’t know why and clearly looks isn’t what matters but one of the reasons I got the mixtrack was because of the larger wheels, the others sort of seemed a bit too ‘toyish’ with the smaller jogs…again I know this isn’t the correct way too look at it but just the way I feel.

MemberCurrently considering: BCD3000, Twitch, Xone22 or just suck it up and stick with the MTP

ParticipantMay I suggest a DDM4000 mixer. It’s 4 channels and almost every button, knob and slider can be mapped to anything you want in Traktor or you can keep it as is and use it for external mixing. Also you can do what I do and just mix it up. I use channels 1 & 2 for routing audio out to do external mixing and channels 3&4 to control FX banks 1&2. I do also use other equipment with this but I think it may be a good fit for you as it will grow with you instead of you growing out of it.

Membermy opinion…. I went through this same thing with my Hercules RMX…. It was a great controller, but I always wanted something better. Would spend hours researching different controllers. Until finally I came to the realization that I need to really no what i’m doing to dj properly and the the Hercules RMX was the perfect tool to get the basics down. Once I landed my first gig and got that first paycheck, is when I went out and Upgraded. It was a great decision. So i’d say wait, and have fun with your MTP

Membercompletely agree. it does what it’s suppose to do. I can’t really complain about that. Will only upgrade when I earn some sort of income from djing.

Memberbro I find that the mixtrack pro works well with traktor… i managed to mess around with the mappings and that has helped immensely… i was thinking about upgrading too… but seriously if i want to achieve something else when mixing I just change the mappings around….
good luck bro…
heres a vid with my mixtrack in action

Membermust say I’m less than impressed with my mixtrack.. The crossfader is already acting up so I’ve switched to just using the faders. I was never impressed with the pitch control sensitivity, and one seems to not register if you move it only a small amount. Although I think that’s partly VDJ’s fault. IDK. I suppose you get what you pay for, but with all the stellar reviews and recommendations I expected a bit more. I feel like it holds me back with some things.

MemberI think the MTP is fine for the basics and for use when DJing is no more than a hobby. As soon as you get regular work I would expect that it wouldn’t stand up to the rigours of regular use. For that you need something tougher and (probably) more expensive.

MemberI would make sure that the Behringer BCD will work with your computer/OS before buying. I have read numerous complaints about their drivers and a failure to update them. My laptop came with Vista (yuck!) and at the time Behringer had no plans to make compatible drivers, but that was a while ago. It helped me decide on a Total Control + external soundcard

MemberThere are 32/64 bit Vista/Win7 drivers available for the BCD3000 now.
