    If you are using a dvd you would first need to burn it to a different codec, the main ones are AVI, MPEG, MP4, FLV, VOB.

    then just write down the time the sampler plays and load the video on a deck… find the sample in vdj. if you want the sample to beatsync play a track at the same speed you want the sample to record at… then right click on the bpm button on the skin to open the cbg editor and select “copy from other deck” this will copy the tempo from the dance track.

    next set a loop over the sample, then press record on a sample slot… this will save the beatgrid information and set the sample to the perfect size so you can later loop or sync it if you wish…. when you are done remember to save it using the little bulls eye as it will be deleted when you exit the software if you forget.
