Get any Denon that you like most, so you do not drool over anything “more”. Denon’s are usually cheaper than their Pioneer counterparts and sometimes even better quality. If I would still use CDJs it would be Denons.

SC2900 is a lot cheaper than the 3900 because no motorized platter. If you ever want to move to a dvs setup, they supply built in timecode,so no need for timecode cds

But the SC3900 is soooo pretty 😉

Thanks guys! I think I’m going with the Denon S1200.

Nifty little CD player … cute little nipple in the middle 🙂

On second thought. I was doing a little soul searching on the Denon 1200 and it appears the cd player doesn’t play MP3’s burned to CD’s. What kind of foolishness? The device plays MP3’s from a USB device. *SMH* I don’t like that and thought the 1200 would be a decent score.

With that said, I noticed that the Denon 3700 seems like it does play MP3’s burned to discs. What gives? So for another $400 I can have what I exactly want? Well, my thought process is this. I can try to buy a used player, but I’m also afraid that people sell bad players and I may get one without a warranty. Then I’m stuck. That’s why I at least wanted to buy a new player and be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty say the least.

I know folks recommend buying used CDJ’s (or CD players) but aren’t you taking a huge chance buying used CD players that’s not covered under manufacturer’s warranty? Or, are these CD players built like tanks where the average consumer CD player would fail after so many uses?

It’s like a lawn service using Stihl products where the manufacturer use better parts for the professional versus a consumer buying a little handy lawnmower or weedeater for occasional upkeep of their own lawn.

LOL. Yes, it has a very small foot print too.
