Yes you can tag WAVs in Traktor.
When you say CD rips…what are you referring to? Ripping means you are copying the audio from the CDs to create an MP3, WAV etc so these would be treated the same way as your other music files. If you fill in all the tags before you rip them (in your ripping software), you should see this info in Traktor, itunes etc.

Cheers for that, my problem has been ripping cd,s that were not tagged beforehand thus everything comes up as unknown in traktor etc. İ try not to convert from CD quality to MP3 but may start doing in the future. İ havnt been able to rename or ‘tag’ my tracks in traktor and i ssume its becuase its only LE 2 at the mo until i get an upgrade. Thnks for your time….

You will have to input the track names manually before you rip them. To be honest you and 99.9% of people will not be able to hear the difference between a 320kbps MP3 and something with less/no compression. Save your hard drive space and rip in 320. If you use a ripper with the most current LAME encoder, your music will sound excellent.
Hmmm maybe you can’t edit them in LE sorry…come to think about it, I’ve never used anything but the full versions of Traktor 1 & 2. The upgrade is only like $70 or $80 so definitely do that.
