I recently got myself a pair of Sennheiser HD-25s, couldn’t be happier, sound quality is amazing, and whilst they appear plasticky, they’re *extremely* durable, I’ve seen people twist them inside out without damaging them, they’re also super comfy and have got great isolation from outside sounds.

Thanks for the reply Cyber! What headphones were you using prior to the Sennheisers?

I recoment the Senhiser HD-25 or Denon HP1000 or some of the new Shure HPs
Senhiser and Denon has proven to last for a long time and the Shure is new but I have tested all of their new HPs and I am imressed by the build quality and the sound quality…..

i would also give a listen to the “ZOMO HD-1200” headphones, they only cost 70$. I saw the headphones in the Beat Magazine from Germany. They tested 12 DJ Headphones from the Range of 70-250$ and the Zomo won. Also i read in a couple of forums that the Zomo should be good.

    Hi Pepe,

We have DJ stores over here but they are made up of small businesses that may specialize in different brands. Its quite a fragmented business over here and not very diversely stocked.

I used to get decent monthly gigs at clubs that could hold between 300 to 500 poeple back when I was playing between 1999 to 2004 but I stopped after that.

The scene appears to have deteriorated since then. With the advent of computer mixing, its more important to have a pretty face behind the decks than someone who can really mix. No offence to anyone with what I am saying.

And Dirty Dutch is one of the hottest genres at the moment whilst my style is progressive to trance. Where are you from Pepe?

The Senhiser HD-25 sounds great, if you’re home listening to music.
As a dj you need headphones that accent certan frequenses for easy mixing.
Pioneer 1000 have a great sound for mixing, but they break.
I glued my P1000 like 5 times. Last week I got a pair of Stanton pro 3000,
Works great, fits around the ears instead of on the ears like Pioneer and the sound is even
a bit sharper than the P1000

    Hi DJ Flyer,

Thanks for your view. I will check those out if they are available here in Singapore 🙂
