    Any turntable will work. The Reloop 8000 model is also a midicontroller, so you can use it to trigger cuepoints, set loops, etc, but the turntable part of it is no different than any other turntable.

    Ofcourse you will need a soundcard (approved by the dj sofware you’re using) and timecode vinyl. If your soundcard isn’t approved or recognised by the sofware, you won’t be able to switch on scratch control.

    Ah if life only was that easy, plug in and play.

    yay! i mean thank-you for making my life easier with your prompt reply (life is kinda that easy a little bit).
    so ok plug my tech 12 into the traktor s8, slap a serato controller disc on it….(i need to get that, and i suppose also serato to make this fly?)

    Not sure about the need for the sound card. If you are using the S8 with Traktor 2 Pro then the sound card in the S8 will take care of that, I think. You will, of course, need timecode vinyls for Traktor.

    See my reply to your other post, it will give you some directions on setting inputs so that Traktor “recognizes” them and can use them for scratching as well.
