I would go checked out some transition that many folks already “pre-made” there are like thousands of those scattered around the net Like ” Bla bla bla (Transition 100-130) ” with many varieties of bpm transition, 130-68, 70-128, 65-129. etc

Especially in the old days of vinyl (when none of the fancy FX stuff was around) you’d be looking for tracks with an abrupt ending (like a clear last bang on the drum) and/or tracks with a snappy start (especially known tracks where the first one or two notes would already bring the aha! feeling with the crowd). After the last bang, count to 4 (creating your own mini-break) then on the 5th count hit play on the new tracks which you have obviously cued up to the first downbeat and off you go.

Point here being, not everything needs to mix. Silence can be a powerful friend in these situations.

Ah the oldschool 4 beat delay transition. You should mix it up with the half bar delay transition hehe
    That creates some tension…

some good tips here ! sometimes i pitch the track that is playing right down then drop the next tune in on its cue point. the trick is sometimes called a tape stop, but i usually use do the 4 beat delay technique.

Record brake is one. With all these things timing is of the essence. Making the length between the last downbeat of the outgoing track and the first one of the incoming track multiples of 4 beats. So always keep counting in your head.
