    No DJ software will put iTunes songs INTO the DJ Software. All the major ones DO allow you to open your iTunes library and the playlists you have made there and use the tracks in your decks. The tracks remain in the iTunes library though.

    Yes Serato (and Cross) will both simply display your iTunes library and all functions of the DJ software will work with your iTunes playlists.
    That is how I organise my music. I use iTunes for organising my playlists and they simply appear in Serato.

    With Traktor not all functions are available if you play from your iTunes library and you have to do some Traktor import stuff to make it work. I did not like the iTunes integration of Traktor.

    VDJ is somewhere in between.
