    Depends on what you mean with prepping.

    I do most of my prep work (gain, energy, bpm, key and tags) outside of my DJ software. Then everything goes into iTunes where I prep all my playlists and such. Finally I use the iTunes link inside the DJ software to let the DJ software analyse the beatgrids.

    By keeping everything in iTunes it doesn’t really matter if I use VDJ, RekordBox (DJ) or Mixvibes Cross.
