MemberI notice a few people have BCD3000’s (or did, in Lew’s case). Just wondering, what was the appeal of the BCD over a more conventional set-up?
I ask as when I got into DJing (a few years back) I was tossing up between the BCD and CDJ100s. I went with the CDJs, but what was the draw of the BCD for the rest you you?

Participantbiggest was bang for buck. It has an awesome sound card built in. It was well supported by both traktor or VDJ, I can also map it in sound forge 6 and reason.

It was the same reasons for me as well. Plus, there weren’t the choices in affordable controllers with sound cards and touch-sensitive jogs when I got mine.
I still have my BCD3000, btw. I just haven’t got round to trying to sell it yet.

Do you use the SL-DZ1200’s much? I hear people rubbishing them quite often.
Also, does anybody know if the RP-DH1200 cans are still made? I only see RP-DJs on sale these days….

MemberI do not spin that often but I love them. The (bigger) spinning platter is the reason I chose them over the CDJ-1000 back then. I have no regreted them since. When using them with CD the sound issue can be heard depending on which sound you use to scratch. That is the only biggest issue on the player.
Smaller things like being able to trim loops, using the SD are all up to personal preference.I can be harsh on products if they are not working adequtely in my eyes but this does the job for me. People can say what they like, they tried to reproduce the faults rather then try it out themselves.
As ar as I know the RP-HD are still being sold but not with a big stock in The Netherlands.
